History - The Alive Kids

The Alive Kids rehearsing at Northern Recording
Zulu singers
The Alive Kids were a fantastic group
of 26 young Zulu singers with their 6 piece band from a music project
in South Africa. They were in Britain to play a 30 date tour to
try to raise awareness of the plight of street kids like themselves
in the townships.
They recorded an album with us and
a year later, two of the band, Edmund and Lungelo, came back to
Consett for a month to learn the ropes so that they could set up
their own studio back home in Natal.
