The most prolific developments in popular music have come from young musicians from areas like the NE but without access to decent facilities and encouragement some people may never know what they are capable of.

Northern Recording arrange 'have a go' projects which provide young people with experiences difficult to get elsewhere which sometimes lead on to bigger things.

Projects for girls centre on singing, vocal harmony, voice projection and choreography. After working in the studios with the production staff and professional musicians to performance level, the girls organise their own youth club concerts to show off their new skills.
