First staged in 1993, Stanley Blues Festival has exploded from an afternoon session which attracted 400 people to become the most popular blues event in the region. Over the years, headline bands have included Chicken Shack, Otis Grand, Zoot Money, Wilco Johnson, Mick Taylor R&B Allstars, Paul Lamb & the Kingsnakes and Peter Green Splinter Group who played to the biggest ever audience of 15,000 people in 2002.
